Hints & Tips
Your purpose, in general, should be to bring the same type of pieces to the left-most columns of the board, so you can push them all down the bottom row together, thus making a match.
- Each time you make a match the timer stops for a while, so a level that seemed to be impossible is actually very doable.
If you think you are running out of time, use the Extra Time power up.
If you are too close to losing the level, use that power up 2-3 times in-a-row, but keep in mind that it is something you should avoid in general.
The faster you finish a level, the more you score.
For every 40000 points you get an extra life, so points are very important.
Try to collect Gem Bonuses that appear in each level, because they give you 2000 points each.
You also score lots of points when you make matches in-a-row and combos.
If, for example, you are about to finish a level and you have made 5 matches in-a-row, use the Swap power up and go for 6 in-a-row.
Do not hesitate to use your power ups to tackle a level that's giving you trouble.
The Smash Block power up should only be used when in great need, as you won't achieve much in a level with 6 Block pieces if you remove 1 or 2.
Block pieces in general should be grouped together, so that they are not all around the place. If that isn't possible it would be preferable that you push all Blocks down the bottom row first and normal tiles afterwards.
Avoid pushing Blocks to the bottom row last, as they will get in the way of normal pieces, effectively blocking them and rendering them useless.
Many levels don't require extensive thought and can be finished as you go on. Others, however, are tricky and one may lose if he or she makes the wrong move in the begining of the level.
It is wise to spend a couple of seconds analyzing a level before you start playing.
Be cautious for how you use Super Hit. If you are hitting the top-most line or the one your are hitting is totally covered from above, you should be fine.
In other cases Super Hitting a line could mess up your strategy, ending up losing more time than if you hit the pieces one-by-one.
Don't try to deal with all sets of pieces at once. Focus on getting one set per time out of the way and you'll see that each level will become easier.
In more advanced levels your mobility will be limited. A wrong move can be fatal, so try making way by collecting available power ups or even breaking some Block pieces.
It is preferable not to use Wildcards all at once in one group so you can have some left for other types of pieces.
There are cases though, especially in advanced levels, when you will need to clear as many pieces as possible in order to make way. Using as many Wildcards then is the way to go.
